Congratulations to Markos brother, Juha! Happy Birthday to You! We sure wish you will enjoy our gig on Saturday! - The Nightingales
September 8, 2008 – 13:19
Sorry. Been a while. We´re still alive though. Played a gig in “Vahinko-festival” in Rovaniemi 16.8. Now leaving to London to play two gigs as “The Sparrow Brothers” (meaning Marko, Ari & Pasi). The first one will be in 12 Bar Club 9.9. Had two rehearsal-gigs in Kulttuurikahvila Hertta, Tampere (26.7 & 6.9.) and really waiting forward to play for the first time in London. Thanks, Malcolm!
The next domestic gig will be in Tullikamarin Pakkahuone, Tampere, an indoor festival called “Lunarock”. The other bands include Trio Tommi Liimatta, Pasi Heikura & Marko playing pure waltz, Sugar Shaker and Pauli Hanhiniemi & Hehkumo. Welcome.
Hello again. We’re happily back in Finland. I think everybody feels good especially after the great gig in Cologne.
There are a lot of other people we still have to thank. Michi and Gerhard are among those. So, thank you Michi and Gerhard. It was great to stay at your place in Eckental.
This seems to be a quite short summary. Sorry, but I’m still so tired after touring. Perhaps I’m too old for this. At the moment I think I’m going to quit the whole thing.
Don’t be worried. I think we are going to return sooner or later.
Let’s put some salt into a coffee. Why? Because it is BAD!

Here we are in Unnersdorf. We’ve just finished our gig. The venue is in the middle of a wonderful country village filled with rural smell. The place is called Gasthof Zur Linde. The audience was great and hopefully we were too.
Tomorrow we will have our last gig of the tour in Cologne. Everything is okay.
There will be more pictures in photo gallery later on.
Love, The Nightingales
Classic example for being mixed up with two different places. Sorry for that Lübeck and Leipzig.
That’s how it really is: the video is from Lübeck and the story about overbooking is from Leipzig.
Today we’ll make a show in Unnersdorf. Hopefully. I guess it depends on who you ask.
Hello folks. Back in Nürberg/Fürth. We are having a day off again.
Tuesday in Leipzig was something we don’t want to experience again. When we got to the venue in Leipzig we were surprised by two other bands who we supposed to perform there as well. So the place was clearly overbooked. Then we were told that we are NOT going to play our gig there. After a serious discussion we managed to have our well-earned chance to perform. We also have to thank the other two bands for making that possible.
So we played a short but great and interesting gig. We were happy after all. So were the audience.
One of the other bands was from Amsterdam and the other was some local band. Don’t know its name. That duo from Amsterdam is called Jack Beauregard and it was great.
Here you can see us on stage in Lübeck
Finall
y, here is an example of old eastern German luxury.

Hello to all of you from Nürnberg, Germany. I’m sorry I haven’t been able to update our websites. Our schedule has been too tied. Everything has gone well. Yesterday we had a day off and tonight we’ll play in Leipzig.
The time here has been great and we have to thank people we’ve met on this tour. So thank you, Malcolm, Stefanie, Alex and all the others.
